Sausage do not look pretty once they are boiled, they look gross actually lol.

I actually don’t like sausages, but I actually like this recipe. With the sausages boiled and skins removed it removes so much of the excess fat. This makes such a huge difference. Although some people think its removing the flavour lol, I just think that greasy sausage flavour is gross lol.

Delicious curried sausage recipe.
Recipe type: Main Meal
Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 750g / 1.6lb sausages
  • 1T oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 granny smith apple, grated
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1½ cups beef stock
  • 2 tablespoon mango chutney
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • steamed rice to serve
Instructions
  1. Place sausages in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil, and boil for approximately 15 minutes or until cooked through. Allow to cool, remove skins and chop into 2cm pieces.
  2. In a large frypan heat oil on medium low heat. Add onion and apple and saute for 10 minutes.
  3. Then add plain flour, curry powder, and sugar and cook for 5 minutes, stirring.
  4. Add beef stock, mango chutney, and stir through. Then add tomato and coconut milk and bring to the boil. Then add sausages turn heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Serve with steamed rice
